We could not possibly be more excited to announce the news that our little one is a baby girl!!!!! We’ve been waiting for a few weeks now to open the card from the ultrasound tech, who said he was 95% sure at the time. And it’s been killing me to have it sitting there on my desk and not be able to open it. I would just stare at it…..and want to peel open it’s edges……but…..

we waited because we HAD to make sure that the results were 100% accurate. I just don’t think I could have handled it had the card said girl…and I let my heart celebrate it…only for the next test to show boy….so we took the card to my OB doctor too and had her open it to confirm that extra 5%! She sealed it back up and we’ve been waiting and waiting for a free evening where we could all be together, during daylight hours, and our sweet friend Natalie to be available to take our photos!

But of course….the day that FIIIIIIIIINALLY works for us all….it’s rainy, WINDY, and super cold!!!!! Such a bummer!!!!!! We just couldn’t wait any longer!!!!! So we gave the kids a pep talk in the car on our way to the beach!!!!

We opened the confetti bomb first. Natalie had one of each color, a blue and a pink, in the bag. She opened the card, with her best poker face on, pulled out the correct one, took off the colored label sticker and handed it to Matt! He twisted the end and out came PINK!!!!!!!!!

Kate and I immediately started crying and the boys were all cheering!!! Every single person in the fam was praying hard for a girl! Our literal dreams have come true!!!!!

We got the balloons out from the black trash bags Natalie had packed them in and lit some smoke bombs to celebrate and get some fun pics!!!!!! Everyone near us on the beach was cheering, clapping and yelling “congrats!” The best feeling ever!!!!!

I promise you I’ll be going to bed with tears of thankfulness and shock tonight!!!! I literally cannot stop smiling!!!!!!

After all of the pics we picked up some super yummy donuts from a local place here called Sidecar…seriously the absolute BEST donuts you will ever eat (and if you’re local you have to try them)…brought them home, made the kids hot chocolate and sat around the table all giggling at how stinkin’ excited we are!!!!!!

They each shared what they are looking forward to the most, and we got everything from “I think she’s going to be my best friend” (Kate) to “I’m so happy I don’t have to share my toys!” (Crew)!!!! The other three boys said they’re excited to read her stories and help her pick out her clothes and make her some food. I started crying again just listening to their excitement!

We all got into our sweats and cuddled up to have a movie night together with the pink balloons floating around our house while the rain comes pouring down….

Absolute perfection. I am so incredibly thankful.

(I can hear Matt praying with the boys as he tucks them in and he’s praying for this sweet daughter of his with them…melt my heart!)
