kate’s room with coloray wallpaper
Just days before our sweet Cosette was born I got an itch to get Kate’s room finished. I knew once the baby came there’d be a ton of other things to focus on so it was then or never! lol! She has been hoping and dreaming for a girly bedroom for years and years now and since we finally moved, bought a house and have begun to settle in I just couldn’t wait to give her that space she’s been hoping for.
For months we gathered ideas from magazines and Pinterest and began piecing together the things we already had with the items we wanted to get the look we dreamed of.
We imagined a room that would be feminine, soft, and not too childish. She asked for a pink room, but made sure to let me know she wanted the kind of pink that is “almost white.”
We also wanted something to really make the room come together and this Ashy Vintage Floral wallpaper from Coloray Decor is so perfect!
Honestly I think wallpaper is in recovery from getting such a bad rap for so many years. It is something that I typically think our grandparents and great grandparents used to do in hideous prints. It used to be super hard to put up AND remove if you ever changed your mind, or moved in after said great grandparents moved out! 🙂 It used to be messy and hard to align and not worth the time…
But that is NOT the case anymore! This is basically one huge sticker broken up into huge pieces. It does take two people to put it up so find a patient helper that’s good with a level, but other than that it is SO easy.
Trust me, there is not much I was willing to do in those last days of pregnancy, but this really did not take long at all. From start to finish we got this entire wall done in just over an hour.
Kate absolutely LOVES how it all tuned out and it’s a perfect spot to get to spend some time with her new baby sister!
