Life is funny that way. It takes us down roads we never would have asked for, so God can do things in us we never would have imagined.
I have been made to wait. I have been kept in the dark. I have been made to sit when I wanted to stand, and to lie down when I wanted to run. There were years that broke us as we grieved through infertility, the death of two babies, a ministry that collapsed, seasons of “rolling” trauma, and suffering I still struggle to find the words for. And through every bit of it, God was at work.
So now, whatever winds blow or storms come, I want to sink my roots deeper into the source of Living Water. I want to be known by my fruit, the kind that only grows from abiding in Him. Most of all, I want a heart that beats like His: to love people, to fight for what matters most, and to never stop looking to Jesus.
Here is what I believe for you. Your pain has a purpose. It can connect you to God himself in the middle of your actual, ordinary, hard life. And I don't ever want you to forget that you are loved by God himself, who calls you by name.
That's why I'm here. To help you keep your eyes focused on what and Who matters most.
Want the whole winding road?
I was once given a “less than 0% chance” of having children of my own. The doctors were certain. They were also wrong, as I'm now a mama to seven. (And yes, I did actually birth them all!)
But I want to tell you about a different girl first.
The little girl who was afraid to take off her coat in any new room. The one who threw up whenever she got nervous. I would not have guessed that she would one day find the courage to become an author, a speaker, someone who stands up and says things out loud, in front of others.
