Our first ever “the time is now” worship night Our first ever “the time is now” worship night…

“Will you not revive us again,
that your people may rejoice in you?” Psalm 85:6

It’s a cry for renewal—a prayer that God would restore His people’s hearts so that their joy would once again be found in Him.

Sunday night was an attempt to do just that. It was incredibly healing, a little raw, and, dare I say, holy.

We gathered on our friends’ field, under the night sky to lift our eyes and hearts to Jesus—
to worship, to repent, to remember, to be reconciled.

And He was faithful.

Fathers prayed for their families.
Women reconciled with one another.
Kids stood beside their parents, watching and learning what it means to seek the Lord together.

We took communion and remembered that it is faith alone by grace alone.

It wasn’t about a church name, a platform or anything fancy. It was dirt, a sunset and a few string lights…but to me, it felt like a tiny slice of heaven.

Our intention was to make it about Jesus alone—for He is alive, present, worthy…and soon returning for His bride.

The time really is now.

To love.

To forgive.

To walk in humility and holiness.

To fight FOR one another, not against.

To be the light of Christ in a dark world.

Lord, let what began here take root in every home, every family, every heart.

If you missed the first one and want to come to the next, DM me or leave a comment here…I’ll be sure to get you on the invite list!

I know the ache that comes with waiting— when I know the ache that comes with waiting—
when you keep praying
and it feels like heaven isn’t answering.

When you lie awake,
your thoughts won’t settle,
and your heart feels worn thin.

But listen…
you can still cry out to Him.
You can ask Him to see you,
to lift your head,
to bring light back to your eyes again.

Even here,
you can trust His unfailing love.
You can believe that He will be good to you again.
You will sing.
You will rejoice in His salvation.

Joy is still coming—
yes the pain is enormous,
but He is who He’s always been.

Hold on, friend.
You are NOT forgotten.
He hears you. He is with you.

And one day soon you’ll look back and say,
“The Lord has been good to me.”
If you desire to live well the message we say we b If you desire to live well the message we say we believe,
it will show up most clearly in how we handle conflict.

I created a free resource to help you do just that —
a simple, gospel-centered guide for resolving conflict
with humility, courage, and love.

Comment “CONFLICT” and I’ll send it straight to you.
-—

I’ve been thinking a lot about how easy it is to stop listening.
Not just to ideas we disagree with,
but to people —
to truth,
to love.

At some point, we all learn how to protect ourselves by closing our ears.

We stop leaning in.

We stop asking questions.

We stop imagining what it might feel like to stand where someone else stands, or experience what they have experienced.

And when that happens,
our hearts harden —
sometimes so subtly we don’t even notice, sometimes so quickly we cannot make sense of it.

Scripture calls us to something radically different.
To be people who “believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things.”

Basically, to believe the BEST about others,
even when it would be easier to assume the worst.

But that’s not usually what we do, is it?

We gossip instead of reaching out.

We cling to offense instead of seeking understanding.

We distance ourselves and call it discernment.

There’s a line I once read that equally melts and compels me:
“He does not seek to know; he does not try to imagine.
Instead, he paints the windshield, climbs into the back seat, and puts in his headphones.”

You can picture it right? You can likely think of those in your life that have not even tried to listen, much less give the benefit of the doubt.

But love, real love, doesn’t look away.
 Love doesn’t cover the windshield.

Love leans in.

Love listens.

Love believes the best, hopes for the best, chooses what’s best.

I believe that’s what it means to follow Jesus —
to take out the headphones,
wipe off the paint,
and choose to face one another.

It looks like choosing curiosity over assumption,
 compassion over gossip,
 and love ABOVE all else.

Because if we’re not known for our love,
what are we even known for?

At this stage in my life, I’ve learned that the At this stage in my life, I’ve learned that the best leaders are often the most hesitant ones—
the ones who know what it’s like to be at the very bottom.

It’s not fear that holds them back, though that may be present too...

It’s understanding the weight of what leading requires.

They know it’s not about control or being in the spotlight—

it’s about sacrifice.

True leadership carries people’s stories, their hurts, their hopes, their hearts and realizes that choices ripple far beyond self.

Real leaders don’t run toward recognition;
they bow toward responsibility...and before Jesus.

They serve. They go low in order to help others rise.

Like a shepherd risking his life for his flock,
good leaders serve and sacrifice for those they steward—not use those they lead.

They stay loyal when it’s costly,
take blame that isn’t always theirs,
and serve consistently, often without applause.

That’s the mark of true leadership:
when ambition falls away and surrender rises to the surface.

If you feel the pull to lead—pause.

Count the cost.

Ask God to make you tender, compassionte, steadfast, and most of all, servant-minded.
