maternity style with pink blush
*This post is sponsored by Pink Blush Maternity but all thoughts and opinions about their clothing line and products are all my own. I would never promote a company or products I didn’t love so this review is my honest review.
The final week before we left California I was invited to do my first ever Instagram live with a clothing company that sells maternity clothes called Pink Blush. If you know me at all you KNOW I was nervous as anything to be on video speaking live! But this year is all about growing in courage and stepping out to do things I would normally want to run from, so I didn’t hold back! 🙂
I tried on a few outfits that day and shared why I liked each one. I honestly had the best time! The gals at Pink Blush Maternity headquarters are SO friendly and clearly love what they do and they made me feel right at home! They even bought me snacks!!! (Sure know a way to a pregnant mamas heart!!!)
For the live post I was given 15 minutes and I couldn’t believe how fast the time went by! It really made me want to do more live posts on my own personal Instagram! I’ll have to show you guys my super messy new house soon and take you around to look at it all! (Comment below to let me know if you’re interested in that or if you’d rather wait until it’s done and get the finished product!)
But there’s more to it than trying on a few outfits for the day at a really cool company.
Truth be told I struggle with being pregnant sometimes. I tend to be very sick early on and by the time that goes away, usually around 20 weeks, I get into the stage where none of my normal clothes fit I become discouraged. I feel heavy, unattractive, and so tired! I know, I know making a baby is an absolute miracle…I totally get that and I LOVE knowing that part of it.
Babies are a gifts, the best gifts, and I absolutely love love love infants!!!! I never struggle with the outcome, just the process!!! Besides feeling the little precious kicks and wiggles I really don’t enjoy the rest of it much at all!
I’ve met some women who have never felt more lovely, more beautiful, more womanly than when they are pregnant. And I love meeting them because it helps me try to have the same perspective. But without their encouragement, I feel huge, tired and everything but beautiful. And I know I’m not alone. There’s so many that I know feel the same way I do.
When I first started having babies finding maternity clothes was not nearly as fun as I had anticipated. Most of the main stream maternity stores carried clothes that fit way to baggy and were never styles I would want to wear on a normal basis. I thought getting to shop for a whole new wardrobe would be a blast, but that lasted for about 4 minutes after I started poking through the oversized, weird patterned maternity racks.
For this pregnancy, knowing it will be my last, I didn’t want to spend a fortune finding a ton of new outfits. And I had already given my old stuff away! Instead I wanted to find a few select pieces that I loved and would wear over and over again. Shopping with one child is tough…shopping with five is just plain silly…so after the kids were fast asleep off to the internet I went…
That’s when I found Pink Blush.
I began to scour through their extremely large maternity section and started putting items in my cart one by one…before long I had at least 30 pieces I would be excited to wear. Of course I couldn’t buy that many but just the fact that I had that many choices that I really would want to wear made me giddy!
I landed on mostly dresses because it’s a one stop shop for getting dressed in the morning, a pair of denim shorts, a couple pairs of leggings and a few tees…and I promise you I have worn them over and over throughout this pregnancy. The pieces are beautiful, the fabrics so comfortable, and the styles are exactly what I would have chosen even without this huge belly to try to cover up. And I feel as good as I possibly can whenever I wear these pretty outfits.
There’s something about getting to put on an outfit that I feel confident about that really has helped me enjoy this pregnancy so much more. I may not have a huge maternity wardrobe, and you may see me wear these same dresses over and over for these last 10 weeks, but I couldn’t recommend this company enough.
If you do end up purchasing some maternity styles from Pink Blush Maternity be sure to tag them in your posts! And for fun, tag me too!!!! I’d love to see your lovely pregnant self and have the chance to encourage you in your pregnancy!!!
**P.S. If you plan to purchase/wear the white off the shoulder maxi please keep in mind it is really really pretty for pics, but it’s very see through!!! I wouldn’t dare wear it out anywhere where there’s people–unless you put something underneath it!!!
